Wednesday July 16, 2014
CHICAGO – The East Division champion Cleveland Gladiators will host their AFL Quarterfinal playoff game at 7:00 p.m. ET Saturday, August 2 on CBS Sports Network, the League office announced today.
Cleveland clinched the No. 1 seed in the American Conference with a 50-47 overtime win over the San Antonio Talons last week and will host the winner of the final wildcard spot in the Conference – a spot that is still up for grabs among the Orlando Predators, Tampa Bay Storm and Philadelphia Soul heading into Week 19.
In addition to the Gladiators’ “NET10 Wireless Arena Football Saturday” Quarterfinal matchup on CBS Sports Network, both Conference Championship games will be televised, with one airing on CBS Sports Network and the other on ESPN2. ArenaBowl XXVII will be broadcast at 8:00 p.m. ET Saturday, August 23 on ESPN.
