Arena Football League, Krossover Launch Partnership

Tuesday March 18, 2014

CHICAGO – The Arena Football League and Krossover, a leading sports film analysis and statistics company, today announced a new partnership to support the AFL’s video analysis capabilities. The partnership will allow AFL teams to use Krossover Intelligence during the 2014 AFL regular and postseason to breakdown and share game film, extract valuable insight into player performance and track opponent tendencies.

“The Krossover partnership offers us an extensive upgrade of our video capabilities,” said Joe Kleinsmith, AFL Senior Director of Football Operations. “Their platform will benefit our front office, coaches, and officials immensely.”

Krossover evaluates performance factors such as time of possession, game, player and team efficiency ratings and much more, for more than 2,000 high school, college and professional sports teams worldwide. Its game film analysis offers users in-depth statistical breakdowns, while Krossover’s cloud-based platform enables teams to access game clips and data from anywhere, share content with players and sort film by a variety of specific and unique categories.

“We’re excited to enter into a partnership with the AFL and its teams this season,” said Eric Perugini, Vice President of Krossover. “The AFL partnership represents a fundamental interest by the League to provide each team a robust platform to share and analyze video, create content and evaluate players.”

The partnership launch will coincide with the 2014 AFL regular season kick-off on March 14, 2014, and continue throughout the postseason.
