Quarterback Jason Murrietta returns to Arizona Rattlers

 Phoenix, Ariz. – The Arizona Rattlers announce quarterback Jason Murrietta has been re-assigned to the team for the 2014 Arena Football League (AFL) season. This will be Murrietta’s sixth season in the AFL and third with the Arizona Rattlers.

The veteran quarterback played in 14 games during the 2013 season, completing 30-of-42 passes for 504 yards and 10 touchdowns. In two years with the team, Murrietta has recorded 42 passes on 64 attempts for a total of 665 yards. Murrietta has also played with the Cleveland Gladiators (2010), Central Valley Coyotes (2009), Spokane Shock (2008) and Rock River Raptors (2007).

The 6-foot, 200-pound quarterback ended his collegiate career at Northern Arizona University as the record holder for career touchdown passes with 94, including a school-record 34 touchdown passes in his senior season.
