New Arena Football Season Brings Familiar Voice Back to Airwaves

ORLANDO, FL –– The new Arena Football season brings yet another change for the Orlando Predators. The team will not only be playing in a new venue, but there will also be a new but yet familiar voice running through the Jungles airwaves. Kevin Baldinger, a veteran of the local radio scene, will return to the PA announcer’s chair for the 2014 season.
Baldinger says that he is excited to be the voice of The Jungle once again, and that he is looking forward to witnessing The Jungle return to its old form first hand. “I’ll be the new old public address announcer for The Orlando Predators,” said Baldinger. “The new management asked the fans what they’d like to see return to the Predators, and the fans chose me. I am humbled by their loyalty, but that is what makes the fans of the Predators so great! The fans are such an integral part of the Orlando Predators, I consider them to be the 9th man on the field.”
The Orlando Predators will play their 2014 season in the CFE Arena at University of Central Florida. Brian Hixenbaugh, general manager of the CFE Arena, said in a news release, “We are excited to partner with the Orlando Predators and the hard-hitting, fast-paced action of the Arena Football League.” The season opens on Sunday March 16th against the Jacksonville Sharks which promises to entertain the fans in the way that only Arena Football can.
Kevin Baldinger is no stranger to the local broadcasting industry. He is the Sports Talk Host of The Central Florida Sideline, a radio program dedicated to covering all high school and college sports in Central Florida and the surrounding area. He has been the voice of Rollins Basketball and Baseball for the last 14 years and moderated the seminar series “Sports for College & Beyond” In addition to numerous credits within the sports world; Baldinger has served as the voice on countless traffic updates with Clear Channel’s Total Traffic Network, traffic.com and Metro Networks/Westwood One. He is also an instructor at Connecticut School of Broadcasting where he shares his vast experience with the next generation of broadcasters.
Kevin has been married to his wife Debora for 25 years, and they are the proud parents of 22-year-old twin girls and a 17-year-old son.
