Tampa Bay teams up with Celestar for Charity Vote
TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm is teaming up with local company, Celestar, to create a new Facebook application called “Charity Vote.” The application will appear on the Storm Facebook page, and asks fans to vote for one of three local charities.
“We are firm believers in giving back to the community,” said Storm president Derrick Brooks. “This is a way for the Storm, and the fans, to team up for a greater cause.”
Fans will have the opportunity to vote for one of the following charities:
Wounded Warriors In Action,
Exalted Warrior Foundation, or
Southeastern Guide Dogs.
The charity with the most votes will win $3,500, with second place receiving $1,000 and third place $500.
Voting begins on Saturday, May 4 at 12:01 AM ET. In order to cast their votes, fans can visit the following website: tampabaystorm.com/charityvote.
All three winning charities will be honored during the Storm’s Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, May 25 when the team takes on the Philadelphia Soul.
