Spokane adds second Tiger to defensive line
SPOKANE, WA (January 31, 2012) – The Shock have been assigned defensive end Kourtnei Brown to the 2013 roster.
A product of Clemson University, Brown played in 49 career games for the Tigers over his four collegiate seasons. Brown recorded 75 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, 13 quarterback pressures, three pass breakups, and two recovered fumbles from the defensive end position. Prior to being assigned to the Shock for the 2013 season, Brown spent time with the NFL's San Francisco 49ers and the Washington Redskins in their 2012 Training Camp.
“Kourtnei's versatility to play DE and LB give us another pass rusher who can get to the QB. His NFL background is a good indicator of his potential and we expect him to contribute right away,” said Shock General Manager Ryan Rigmaiden.
