SaberCats Add Talented Duo, DB Dionte Dinkins and OL Terrence Campbell

 SAN JOSE, Calif. - The SaberCats announced today that they have been assigned two players with National Football League experience; defensive back Dionte Dinkins and offensive lineman Terrence Campbell. The Arena Football League’s open free agency period began on Monday Nov. 5.

"We added two quality players to our roster today," Owner/Head Coach Darren Arbet stated regarding the additions. "As the roster continues to take shape for 2013, we are constantly looking for difference makers and both Dionte and Terrance have proven to be just that.”

Dinkins (6-1, 200, Fort Valley State) was in mini-camp in 2012 with the Seattle Seahawks and spent part of the 2011 season having been signed as an undrafted free agent with the St. Louis Rams. He attended Fort Valley State University, a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) and posted four interceptions as a junior in 2009, which earned the Macon, Ga. native Second Team All-Conference honors.

Campbell (6-3, 295, South Carolina) spent the 2012 preseason as a member of the New York Jets. The Austell, Ga. native made 25 career starts in 34 appearances for the South Carolina Gamecocks along the offensive line. He spent six seasons in Columbia, S.C. from 2006-11 and was a member of the 2010 Southeastern Conference Eastern Division champion team which played in the school’s first ever SEC title game.
