Wednesday September 14, 2011

MESA, Ariz. - The Arizona Rattlers re-signed WR KERRY REED, DL KYLE HARRINGTON and OL TRASK IOSEFA after rookie outings with the Rattlers in 2011.

"We are happy to have these players back," said GM/HEAD COACH KEVIN GUY. "They were an important piece to us making an ArenaBowl XXIV run in 2011. Moving forward, I would like to get more of our players back, but if that does not happen by September 26th, when free agency starts, we are going to be very aggressive in filling up our roster with league free agents and street free agents."

Reed started in eight games at wide receiver during the regular season and all three playoff games for the Rattlers in 2011.

The wide receiver collected 47 catches for 480 yards and 12 touchdowns during the regular season, seeing his best performance in a 68-34 win over the Pittsburgh Power, where he caught seven passes for 47 yards and four touchdowns.

In the playoffs, Reed's most notable performance came in a 62-33 victory over the Spokane Shock in the Quarterfinal, where he caught six passes for 80 yards and two scores. Reed collected 17 catches for 197 yards and four touchdowns in the playoffs.

Reed signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free-agent in 2007 and spent time with the Baltimore Ravens in 2008. He joined the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League late in 2009, participated in the team's 2010 training camp and later signed with the team.

Harrington returns to the squad after starting in 15 games, collecting 17.5 tackles, six tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. The defensive lineman also added two pass break ups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 2011.

The 6'4", 290 lb. lineman saw one of his best outings in a 63-42 win over the Cleveland Gladiators, where he collected two tackles and 1.5 sacks for a loss of nine yards.

In the playoffs, Harrington started in all three contests, snaring 2.5 tackles and a half tackle for loss.

Harrington participated in the Chicago Bears' and Washington Redskins' 2010 mini-camps. He spent time in the United Football League, participating in the Hartford Colonials' training camp, making the team's 2010 roster.

Iosefa returns in 2012 after appearing in three games on the offensive line after originally signing with the squad in May of 2011.

Iosefa went to camp with the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League in 2011.
