HOF Finalist to join fans on ArenaFan's online chat during Force-Sharks game

2011 AFL Hall of Fame finalist George LaFrance will be a special guest of ArenaFan's online chat during starting tonight (Monday, August 8) at 7:50 PM Eastern and during the American Conference championship game between the Georgia Force and Jacksonville Sharks. The winner will travel to Phoenix this upcoming Friday to play the Arizona Rattlers in ArenaBowl XXIV.

Speaking of ArenaBowls, LaFrance ArenaBowl career records for: games played, games won (tied with Stevie Thomas), points scored, total touchdowns, receiving touchdowns (tied with Thomas), kickoff returns (by almost triple), kickoff return yards (by almost triple, kickoff return touchdowns, MFG returns, MFG return yards, all-purpose yards. He is also the only three-time ArenaBowl Most Valuable Player.

The five-time ArenaBowl winner is one of ten finalists for the AFL's Hall of Fame. At halftime of ArenaBowl XXIV, five of the ten finalists will be announced as the first HOF class since 2002. In LaFrance's career that stretched from 1988-2000, he was the first player to reach 20,000 all-purpose yards and finished in the top three in nearly every receiving and return category in league history. He was a member of the 10th and 15th Anniversary teams as well as being named #3 on the 20 Greatest AFL Players list.

Even after being out of the game for more than a decade, LaFrance still ranks as the league's all-time leader in combined kick returns, MFG returns (by almost double). Also the all-time playoff MFG return yardage leader. He is #2 all-time in AFL playoff career records for: games played, points scored, touchdowns scored, receiving yards, receiving touchdowns, kickoff return yards and all-purpose yards.
