Raudabaugh, Hall, Robinson and Gray win Week 12 honors

TULSA, OKLA. –Dallas QB DAN RAUDABAUGH has been named Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week. Chicago WR/DB VIC HALL and Kansas City DL BRYAN ROBINSON have been named Co-Riddell Defensive Player of the Week while Chicago WR REGGIE GRAY has been named JLS Ironman of the Week, for Week 12 of the 2011 AFL season. The Cutters Catch of the Week award winner for Week 12 is WR DAMIAN HARRELL of the Milwaukee Mustangs, while the NiFTy Playmaker of the Week is Dallas WR TIGER JONES. The Spalding Highlight of the Week award winner is Arizona DB VIRGIL GRAY.
RUSSELL ATHLETIC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Raudabaugh (6-3, 220, Miami) finished 28-of-36 for 433-yards and 10 touchdowns against the Pittsburgh Power on Saturday in a losing cause. Raudabaugh ranks fourth in the AFL in passing efficiency (109.1) and has tallied 2,965 passing yards this season.
RIDDELL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hall (5-10, 190, Virginia) notched 11 tackles, three pass breakups and two interceptions in Chicago’s Week 12 victory over the Tulsa Talons, 49-48. Hall leads the League in total tackles (86.5).
Robinson (6-3, 297, Wesley College) recorded four tackles, four sacks and one blocked kick in the Command’s victory over the Spokane Shock, 45-42. Robinson ranks second in the AFL in tackles for a loss (10.0).
JLS IRONMAN OF THE WEEK
Gray (5-10,175, Western Illinois) collected eight receptions for 82-yards and a touchdown in the Rush’s victory over Tulsa. Gray also returned five kickoffs for 138 yards and a touchdown. He finished with 220 all-purpose yards.
CUTTERS CATCH OF THE WEEK
Harrell (6-3, 190, Florida State) made an acrobatic touchdown catch over the boards to give the Mustangs a 24-21 lead with 13:20 remaining in the game. It would be their last lead of the game, later falling 30-35 to the Orlando Predators.
NIFTY PLAYMAKER OF THE WEEK
Jones (5-11, 195, Louisville) scored on the first offensive play of the game for Dallas with a 28-yard reception in the back of the end zone. Jones caught a clutch, 40-yard pass, late in the fourth quarter, tying the game. Jones posted 10 receptions for 221-yards and four touchdowns in Dallas’, 75-76, loss against the Pittsburgh Power.
SPALDING HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK
Gray (5-10, 195, Rhode Island) found the end zone on a 52-yard missed field goal return, boosting Arizona to a 21-7 lead with 12:28 left in the first half. The Rattlers moved to 9-2 after defeating the Gladiators, 63-42.

Riddell Defensive Player of the Week candidates included: Orlando’s Rayshaun Kizer, Iowa’s Patrick Stoudamire, Arizona’s Vince Hill, Chicago’s Vic Hall, Kansas City’s Bryan Robinson, Georgia’s Tracy Belton, Philadelphia’s Jame Sadler and Dallas’ Steve Watson.
JLS Ironman of the Week candidates included: Dallas’ RJ Jackson, Kansas City’s Bradly Chavez, San Jose’s Mervin Brookins, Arizona’s Virgil Gray, Iowa’s Chris Singleton, Milwaukee’s Marcus Everett, Philadelphia’s Darnell Whitley and Chicago’s Reggie Gray.
The Arena Football League is also awarding the National Guard MVP of the Week, where fans are given the opportunity to select the winner on Facebook and ArenaFootball.com. Candidates include Iowa QB Brad Banks, Arizona QB Nick Davila and San Jose QB Mark Grieb. The winner will be announced on Thursday, June 2, 2011.
