Storm acquires two DBs -- Marcus Udell and Terrence Washington

NG Richard Clebert Traded to Milwaukee Mustangs for Washington

TAMPA BAY – The Tampa Bay Storm are pleased to announce the addition of defensive backs Marcus Udell and Terrence Washington.  Udell signed as a free-agent while Washington was acquired in a trade with the Milwaukee Mustangs for nose guard Richard Clebert.

“The addition of Marcus and Terrence gives us some added depth in the defensive backfield,” said head coach Dave Ewart.

Udell (5-foot-10, 184 lbs., Middle Tennessee) enters his rookie season with the Storm.  He spent 2010 in training camp with the Seattle Seahawks after signing as an undrafted rookie free-agent.  Udell earned First-Team All Sun Belt honors his senior year at MTSU after leading the conference with seven interceptions.  He prepped at Godby H.S. (Tallahassee, FL).

Washington (5-10, 190, West Virginia State) is a rookie defensive back.  He appeared in two games with the Milwaukee Mustangs and recorded seven tackles, one pass break up and returned two kicks for eight yards.  Washington appeared in 29 games at WVSU and tallied 128 tackles, 23 pass breakups, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries during his college career.

Clebert (6-0, 335, South Florida) appeared in four games for the Storm and recorded 3.5 tackles, two for a loss and one safety.

The Tampa Bay Storm hosts the Kansas City Command on Amalie Motor Oil field at the St. Pete Times Forum this Friday, May 13 at 7:30 PM.  The game can be heard on 1250 AM-WHNZ with the pre-game broadcast starting at 7:00 PM.
