The Washington Valor (0-2) continue their road trip to Albany, New York, where they will play against the Empire (0-2) inside of Times Union Center at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th. The game will broadcast live on CBS Sports Network. These two teams have never played each other before.
The Valor will look different this weekend, they're down quarterback Nick Davila who had season-ending surgery this week. Warren Smith will take the reins under center and hope to lead Washington to their first victory this season. Last season Smith came on field for the Valor late in the season against the Baltimore Brigade and led his team to victory, throwing 229 yards and five touchdowns, also adding a rushing touchdown.
Albany is also currently sporting an 0-2 record but with wide receiver Joe Hills recently being added to the roster their offense gets a huge boost. Last weekend in Hills first game this season, he put up four touchdowns on 11 receptions and 108 yards. Quarterback Tommy Grady is settling in to the league nicely and becoming a threat, when paired with Hills in Week 3 his completion percentage rose 15%.
