The Philadelphia Soul are champions of Arena Football League for the second consecutive season. The game was close for three quarters, but the Soul turned up the defense with a safety and an interception in the fourth quarter to pull away to a 44-40 victory in ArenaBowl XXX. 

The Philadelphia Soul defense held the Storm to just 194 yard of offense and intercepted Storm quarterback Randy Hippeard (14 of 27 for 4 TDs) twice, including a decisive pick by Dwayne Hollis in the 4th quarter. The Soul defense also recorded a safety on a Sean Daniels sack. For the Soul, Dan Raudabaugh was 20 of 34 passing for 4 TDs and one interception, which was returned for a TD. 

It was a hard fought defensive battle that saw a total of 5 turnovers on downs, 3 interceptions, 1 sack for a safety and a missed field goal return for a touchdown.

1:00 4Q - WOOM!!! The clock has run down to the one minute warning.

1:34 4Q - Time out Tampa Bay. For the Storm their second timeout.

1:41 4Q - Time out Tampa Bay. For the Storm their first time out.

2:40 4Q - STOP!!! Dwayne Hollis intercepted a deep Randy Hippeard pass. For Hippeard it was his 2nd interception of the game. The Soul have the ball with a 10 point lead.

4:02 4Q - Sean Kauleinamoku caught a 16 yard pass from Dan Raudabaugh for a touchdown. The PAY made the score 44-34.

5:58 4Q - Justin Hilton scored on a 42 yard touchdown pass from Randy Hippeard on second down following the successful recovered onside kick. The Storm trail 37-34.

7:33 4Q - SAFETY. Sean Daniels sacked Randy Hippeard on 1st and 10 from the Storm 3 yard line. It was the first play of the drive. The Soul extended their lead to 37-27. The Storm recovered the ensuing onside kick.

8:21 4Q - Darius Prince caught a 1 yard pass on 4th and goal for a touchdown from Dan Raudabaugh. The score is the second for Prince and the 3rd for Raudabaugh. The Soul extend their lead to 35-27.

9:27 4Q - Time out Philadelphia. Their second time out of the half. The Soul have the ball 4th and goal at the 1 yard line.

14:17 4Q - STOP!!! A pair of penalties and a dropped pass stalled the Storm. A 4th down completion to midfield failed to earn a first down. The Soul take over.

END 3Q - The Tampa Bay Storm have the ball 3rd and 13 on their own 13 yard line trailing by just one point.

3:39 3Q - Mykel Benson ran 1 yard for a touchdown on 4th and goal after a lengthy replay delay. The PAT gives the Soul a 28-27 lead. Prior to the touchdown, the Soul challenged a ruling that they failed to score a touchdown on a 3rd down run. The replay views were inconclusive, and the Soul lost a timeout.

8:34 3Q - Kendrick Ings caught a 33 yard pass from Randy Hippeard for a touchdown. The TD was Ings second of the night including a missed field goal return. The Storm lead 27-21.

11:54 3Q - Darius Reynolds caught a wide open 40 yard touchdown pass on 3rd down from Dan Raudabaugh. Following the PAT, the Soul take a 21-20 lead.

HALF - The Tampa Bay Storm lead the Philadelphia Soul 20-14 at halftime. Randy Hippeard is 5 of 13 passing for 70 yards, 1 toudchdown and 1 interception for the Storm. The Storm's leading receiver is Joe Hills with 2 receptions for 44 yards and one touchdown.

For the Philadelphia Soul, Dan Raudabaugh is 10 of 21 passing for 92 yards, one touchdown and one interception that was returned for a touchdown. The Soul will receive to start the second half.

0:30 2Q - Mykel Benson scores on a 1 yard run on 3rd down. Follwoing the PAT, the Soul train by 6. The Soul forced the Storm to use up their timeouts.

0:35 2Q - Time out Tampa Bay. The Storm use their third and final timeout. The sSoul have the ball 3rd and goal on the 1.

0:38 2Q - Time out Tampa Bay Storm. The Storm use their second time out following a no gain on the Soul's first down run. 

0:46 2Q - Time out Tampa Bay Storm. The Storm use their first time out to preserve time on the clock. The Soul have the ball first and goal on the 1 yard line.

1:00 2Q - WOOM! The Philadelphia Soul have the ball 3rd and 3 at their 21 yard line, trailing by 13 points.

5:20 2Q - PICK SIX!!! Alvin Ray Jackson intercepted Dan Raudabaugh and returned the ball 26 yards for a touchdown. After the Mark Lewis PAT, the Storm lead the Philadelphia Soul 20-7. This was the fourth offensive that the Soul have failed to score.

7:48 2Q - Randy Hippeard hit Joe Hills for a 35 yard touchdown pass on the second play of the drive, following an incompletion. The PAT gave the Storm a 13-7 lead. 

9:59 2Q - Following an unnecessary roughness penalty that earned the Philadelphia Soul a new set of downs on what would have been another stop by the Storm defense, Dan Raudabaugh hit Darius Prince for a 2 yard toudchdown pass. After the PAT, the Soul take a 7-6 lead. This is the latest point in an ArenaBowl that the first offensive touchdown was scored.

END 1Q - The Tampa Bay Storm lead the Philadelphia Soul 6-0. The Soul have the ball 2nd and 10 on their own 23 yard line.

1:12 1Q - STOP!!! The Tampa Bay Storm were unable to take advantage of the Soul turnover on downs. After 4 plays and failing to get a first down, the Philadelphia Soul take over on their own 11 yard line. This is the second defensive stop for the Soul defense, and the fourth of the game.

3:44 1Q - STOP!!! The Tampa Bay Storm held The Philadelphia Soul to only 8 yards on the 4 play drive, which included a pair of dropped touchdown passes. The Tampa Bay Storm take over on the Soul 15 yard line.

6:17 1Q - Following an unsportsmalike conduct pentalty, Adrian Trevino missed a 24 yard field goal and Kendrick Ings returned it 58 yards for the touchdown. After a missed PAT, the Storm lead ArenaBowl XXX 6-0.

10:45 1Q - STOP!!! On 4th and 8 James Romain intercepted Randy Hippeard. The Soul have the ball on their 23 yard line.

7:10pm ET - KICKOFF!!! ArenaBowl XXXD is underway as the Philadelphia Soul's Adrian Trevino kicks off to Kindrick Ings. A block in the back call on the Storm places the football on the 3 yard line for the first play of the game.

7:07pm ET - The team captains from the Tampa Bay Storm and Philadelphia Soul met at midfield. The Storm call heads. Philadelphia won the toss and defered to the second half. Tampa Bay will receive to begin the game. 

7:03pm ET - The National Anthem is complete. We are now just 5 minutes away from kickoff.

6:58pm ET - Led onto the field by Soul Man, the Philadelphia Soul take the field in white helmets and graphite jerseys and pants with light blue numbers. Less than 11 minutes until kickoff.

6:52pm ET - The Tampa Bay Storm take the field in blue helmets, with white jerseys and blue pants. 16 minutes until kickoff. 

6:35pm ET - 35 minutes to kickoff, and the crowd is starting to arrive.  The Philadelphia Soul players are warming up on the field. This is the third ArenaBowl to be played on August 26th. The Tampa Bay Storm won ArenaBowl X in 1996 and the Philadelphia Soul won ArenaBowl XXIX last year.
