T.T. Toliver's assault on the receiving record books continued in Portland. The future Hall of Famer continues to add accolades in this, his 13th Arena Football League season. This week, he added the 15,000-yard mark for his career to his resume, the second man in AFL history to reach that milestone.
Toliver needed 32 yards this week to get to that coveted 15,000-yard barrier. However, that might not be his only major milestone reached tonight. Toliver could reasonably exceed the 15,134 receiving yards which Damian Harrell logged for his career, the most in the history of the league.
Though you don't think of Harrell as a man who played in this league dating all the way back to 1999, he spent 12 years in the AFL to reach his 15,134 yards. Harrell is largely accepted as one of the best receivers, if not the best, to ever play in the history of this league.
Toliver entered tonight needing 166 yards to catch Harrell's record. He's working on a streak of three straight games with 100+ yards.
