So, the big battle between the L.A. Kiss and the surprising Las Vegas Outlaws happens Saturday night at 10pm on ESPN2.
We will have plenty of articles on here about the game itself, so, lets do the tale of the tape on the other matchup.... KISS vs. Motley Crue. It just so happens that they each had 6 Top 40 U.S. Billboard chart hits. So, well put their songs head to head and see who wins out. I originally was going to put the music in order of chart position, and it otherwise still pretty much is, but, I thought they ballads should be against each other, to be fair.
So, here it goes:
"Beth" (#7, 1976) vs. "Home Sweet Home '91" (#37, 1991)
We start with the ballads, and it is Crue's lowest ranking song, but, honestly probably has more classic rock radio play now than most of the others below here.
"Forever" (#8, 1990) vs. "Dr Feelgood" (#6, 1989)
"I Was Made for Loving You" (#11, 1979) vs. "Without You" (#8, 1991)
"Rock and Roll All Nite" (#12, 1975) vs. "Girls Girls Girls" (#12, 1987)
"Shout it out Loud" (#31, 1976) vs. "Smokin in the Boys Room" (#16, 1985)
"Rocket Ride" (#38, 1978) vs. "Don't Go Away Mad" (#19, 1990)
