BREAKING: Aaron Garcia Leaving Sharks for Good

According to an interview on The Drill with Dan Hicken and Jeff Prosser on 1010 XL in Jacksonville with Jeffrey Bouchy, the Managing Partner of the Jacksonville Sharks, Aaron Garcia has permanently left the team.

The move comes just two weeks after the Sharks essentially traded for Garcia a second time. The Orlando Predators sought to void the trade which was consummated in the offseason between the two Sunshine State squads, as Jacksonville had already sent three players to the Preds in exchange for Garcia. Thanks to a clause in the CBA, the Predators were able to pull the plug on the trade, and they received additional compensation in the form of Tracy Belton and Kyle Rowley.

Garcia only played in two games, and he only started one. Assuming that he is finished this season, Garcia went 27-of-42 for 277 yards with six TDs nad a pick.

Rowley was then traded from the Predators to the Portland Thunder, where he has been the starting quarterback ever since. Rowley will start this week against the Sharks in Jacksonville.

The Sharks will start RJ Archer under center this weekend, and they have been assigned former Western Michigan quarterback Alex Carder to be the new backup.
