Harrell, Weatherington and Douglass receive ArenaFan Online Week 6 honors

Offensive Player of the Week: Damian Harrell Had nine receptions for 149 yards and five touchdowns in the Colorado Crush 66-54 victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage. In the game, Harrell opened the scoring with a 20-yard touchdown reception on the first play from scrimmage, scored another in the second quarter, and three more in the fourth quarter, including a 15-yarder with 49 seconds left to put the game out of reach. This is Harrell's second ArenaFan Offensive Player of the Week award in 2006; the first came in Week One.
Other players considered for the ArenaFan Online Week Six Offensive Player of the Week were Carl Bond (Columbus), John Dutton (Colorado), Mark Grieb (San Jose), and Chad Salisbury (Grand Rapids).
Defensive Player of the Week: Colston Weatherington recorded two sacks, two forced fumbles and 2.5 total tackles to help the Dallas Desperados defeat the Chicago Rush 59-42. Both forced fumbles came on sacks of Rush QB Matt D'Orazio. The first fumble was recovered in the Chicago end zone for a toucchdown. The second resulted in a touchdown on Dallas's ensuing drive. Weatherington is in his third season with the Desperados, and he was named to the All-Rookie team in 2004.
Other players considered for the ArenaFan Online Week Six Defensive Player of the Week were Joe Douglass (Las Vegas), Rashad Floyd (Colorado), Hugh Hunter (Colorado), Jarrian James (Orlando), Jeroid Johnson (Orlando), Monty Montgomery (Nashville), and Clevan Thomas (San Jose).
Two-Way Player of the Week: Joe Douglass scored two rushing touchdowns and returned an interception for a score in the Las Vegas Gladiators 67-49 win over the Philadelphia Soul.In all, Douglass recorded three rushes for 15 yards and two touchdowns, three receptions for 18 yards on offense, and 2.5 total tackles and a 47-yard interception return on defense. Douglass is in his second season with the Gladiators, having previously played with Orlando, Chicago, Colorado and Los Angeles. Douglass was an integral part of Orlando's ArenaBowl XIV championship team.
