Eight Simple Post Game Notes From The Predators and Desperados

“Sometimes you’re good and sometimes you’re lucky,” Gruden said.
2) Do you think Preds KO returner Travis McGriff will get some grief this week in practice after getting taken down by a one-armed kicker TWICE? Way to go, Nick Gatto.
3) Did you know NBC wasn’t planning on showing this game because of a modest little racing event here in Daytona? The Preds had a decent crowd of 11,000-plus and the NBC folks probably had to pay a lot more for their hotel rooms.
4) Hey, Sheller, the Preds gave me a golf shirt. Thought you might like to know.
5) I didn’t get a chance to meet Dallas coach Joe Avezzano, but you can tell by just one look he is not a person you want to tick off.
6) The Daytona 500 had Mariah Carey sing the national anthem. The Preds had a local celebrity named Bubba “Whoop Ass” Wilson. Insert your own punchline.
7) McGriff, Cory Fleming and Thabiti Davis may just be the best pass-catching threesome Gruden’s ever had.
8) Kenny McEntyre proposes to his girlfriend at midfield prior to the start of the game. She says yes. Since the “Glove” doesn’t have a pick so far this season, there’s the obvious one-liner about this being his best catch of the year, but let’s not spoil the moment.

His day job is at Bethune-Cookman University, which has produced both an NFL Hall of Famer (Larry Little) and an Arena Football Hall of Famer (Stevie Thomas) and his hobby is tracking how many f-bombs Adam Markowitz drops in the chat room on game nights.
