Predators place three on All-Rookie team

ORLANDO, FL— On Tuesday the Arena Football League announced the 2008 All-Rookie team and the Orlando Predators placed three players on the squad. Fullback Odie Armstrong, Offensive Lineman Bobby Harris, and Defensive Back Ahmad Carroll represent the Preds on the All-Rookie team.
Armstrong finished the season with 138 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns to lead the Preds on the ground. Perhaps his biggest contribution to the team was through the air where he caught 20 passes for 258 yards and a Predators’ single-season record seven touchdown receptions from the fullback position.
Harris had a solid year on a rookie laden offensive line where at times the Predators played three rookies at the same time. For the most part, Harris was part of the “H3’s” along with teammates Jasper Harvey and Charles Hill.
Carroll joined the Predators late in training camp and helped the defense when he got his lone interception of the season in Week 8 in his home state against the Georgia Force. The pick gave the Preds the ball back and they won the game. The former Green Bay Packer finished the season leading Orlando with 70.0 tackles, seven pass break-ups, and three fumble recoveries for 53 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown.
The Predators return to action on Monday, June 30th when they will face the Cleveland Gladiators at The Quicken Loans Arena. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and ESPN2 HD.
